Sunset in Mallorca

I was going to put this in the comp this month using the excuse that I had to "travel" to take it, but looking at all the others, it seems too much of a different interpretation. Anyway, I took this on an Olympus mju400. I have had it for about 5 years now but it doesn't have any manual options, just the preset functions like portrait, landscape etc.. So I put this on portrait+landscape cause I wanted to get the tree and the distance in focus as best I could. I have shopped it a bit but only to crop and clone out the odd bit like a bin on the beach and a crane in the skyline.

Thanks mate. I have just got back. I was there for 12 days and had to wait till the 10th night until there was a completely clear sky. All others had the odd cloud in. Also didn't have much option on when I took it. Could say to the wife "look after the kids for a few hours whilst I take some pics"!! Worked out in the end though, just wish I took my 300d, but haven't got a bag yet.

Thats an ace sunset mate. I was thinking the same about the comp as I went on Holiday this month. I wouldn't object to it being in there as its like something out of a travel brochure

Looks nice and calming that one mate, love the colour on the sky too, a shame there's so much dark space around the tree on the right though, would have been nice to see more of the tree trunk.

I've not played with any light levels or colours yet, so it might come out a bit more you never know.

Personal interpretation of the theme is a major part of the art imho.
