Video Editing / Cutting / Authoring

What do you guys recommend for editing and authoring home movies?
I have Premier pro but its so complecated its doing my nut.
I know apple have the easy to use video thingy... anything available for windows which is easy to use and powerfull?
I only want to cut out shite bits of movie and encode to DVD really, maybe add the odd "star swipe"
i'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous

Sounds like Pinnacle Studio is what you are after.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

I kid you not, it's simple, effective, and probably free(comes with xp)

pinnacle studio! i forgot about that one.. think i had a copy of studio 8 somewhere...
