xbox 360 guarantee what does it cover?

i bought an xbox at christmas but it leaving a big ring round the discs. the console is not modded and its happening to every game i play doe i just ring them up and tell them fix it or will they tell me to hit the high road

Xbox will not cover the Drive no matter what.

MS will 'repair' it if its under a year old and hasn't been opened.

Tell them it has red lighted they will fix it / put on the slip when if they send a box out or on a bit of paper in the box you send it in that it has red lights and the drive is fu(ked they will replace the mobo and put a new drive in. Only thing with that is they are putting the unflashable lite-on drive in some of the consoles now.
I have had two back one with lit-on and one owith a benq in the last few weeks.

If bought at xmas it will cover ALL faults! However they will try and blame you for moving the console while in use and causing the scratches, but tell them to fuck off and that the console is faulty.

They will collect it and send it back fixed or replaced.

As above Take it back to the shop... m$ will have your 360 for weeks m8e
And get on to microsoft about the damaged discs... say you want em replacing, sure they have a policy in place for replacing discs with scratched rings
