I have stolen money from a DF member and a member of Disqworld. All my personal details including families details are on file and will be made public to everyone if I do not refund the money I stole or send the goods I promised. My name will be ravaged across the net and the consequences will be severe if I do not sort this fucking mess out.
Before we found out what we were having (back in Dec while we were in SA) we had a girls name all sorted but no boys name...and typically we've had a boy!
Short list names for boys were:
Cameron
Domonic
Callum
Nathan
Bradley
Luke
Ben
All of these sound pretty good with your surname too I think.
oh and Carmine which was my idea from Sopranos but promptly shot down in flames by the missus lol

Congrats mate.....always nice to pass the family name along!
Personally I would go for the more traditional names of Albert; Stanley; Cecil; Clifford; Algernon, but then again I am a bit mad!The Top 20 Boys names for 2006!

"Where you are is what you eat. When I'm in London I'll have beans on toast for lunch. On holiday what? Tapas? Go on then I'll have a bit. You eat whatevers in that area"
Karl Pilkington
Arthur? Congrats buddy thats good news![]()
The obvious choice is to go for the same name as the father.
Are you actually on 1st name terms with your postman?
Here's a list I compiled before I kicked my malaysian housemaid so fucking hard she had a miscarriage and lost the baby. If only she'd cleaned the glassware better that day I'd have my own son and heir by now. Here's the fucking list anyway:
Maximilian
Polperro
Peregrine
Lancelot
Marmaduke
Alan
How about "Beat"
Funky and goes well with your surname of Root.
or
Tree
Or
Loginas Root
Crash
Congrats mate, surprised you had time to get her up the duff - you're never off DF
Oh, I've got no ideas on names, theres plenty of time yet, you'll come up with something.
Hey, congrats on your jizz taking hold!
I'd try and avoid anything on Nibb's list (nothing personal Nibb!), because it's the top 20. We did a similar thing with our first girl, called her Chloe. We didn't know at the time, but this was the top name for girls around that time and there are four Chloe's in her class at school.
For our second child we went for something less common, and went for Elise. (I always wanted a Lotus Elise but couldn't afford it!)
It's a good job we didn't have boys because we were really struggling for names. A couple that did come up in our discussions often were Joshua and Jacob. Just sounded right. However Joshua is on that list so steer clear!
@funkyg
Jacob was on the 2 years before i think.......
I am trying to get the wife to open her mind a bit, how can you have an exciting life with a dull name she has agreed that if it is a boy i can name it if it is a girl she will....
I am aiming for
Hunter
Fox
Pheonix
But she is not warming, i was not allowed Blade for my first son either.
Baaaahhhhhhhh
Hmmm some great suggestions. Will be steering clear of most popular but in so doing you normally go for something that will become part of the top twenty.
Humphrey is my favourite but she ain't biting but maybe she will when I suggest Cuthbert, Gaylord, Quentin and Horace.
That's what we found with Elise. Didn't know of any others but there are a couple of others round our way now. Was getting my hair cut a couple of months ago, and the tottie doing it has Elise tattooed on her wrist so I mentioned it. She said "Yeah I'd never heard of it before, but I used to take my other daughter to a playgroup and there was this woman who took her granddaughter called Elise. Thought it was a lovely name."
"Yeah, that's my daughter and mother in law."
It's out there, spreading.
She had a girls name tattooed on her wrist after hearing the name at a playgroup? She needs a kick in the ass unless she has now called a child Elise.
Congratulations mate.
I have always liked the name Grendon.

LOL, yes. Sorry I probably didn't make myself clear. The next one she popped out was named Elise, after my princess. Hence that tat.
Fricking name thief. If I hadn't already had my balls clipped, I'd have called the next one cunt or piss-flaps. Let's see someone steal THAT name!![]()
