    News Jay z and Glastonbury

    Glasto faithful divided over Jay-Z
As the second day of Glastonbury Festival kicked off, one question seemed to be on the mind of most its revellers - to Jay-Z or not to Jay-Z?

I WATCHED HIM LIVE TONIGHT WONDERING WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT,I GOTTA SAY THE FUKA BLEW ME AWAY.
WHAT AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE HE PUT IN,I AGREE WITH NOEL IN WHAT HE SAID BUT I THINK JAY Z NAILED IT TONIGHT AND I THINK IT WILL BE A HUGE TURNING POINT FOR GLASTONBURY IN THE FUTURE.

UNTIL TONIGHT I HAVE NEVER LISTENED TO JAY Z SO IT COULD BE A TURNING POINT IN MY LIFE HAS I SEARCH EBAY FOR BLING.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ALLL THOUGHT IF YOU SAW IT.

    SHIT GODDAM CAPS

ive never been to glasto, but im a big jayz fan, infact im going to see him next month..

so personally, i think there was a massive mis-guided over reaction to the jayz set at glastonbury this year, and as you just said, he blew you away, so i think a lot of people will be surprised by just how much it didnt ruin the festival, but instead added a new dimension to it.

and well done for admitting you liked it, which i think a lot of people will refuse to do.

I quite like Jay-Z and I thought it was quite cool that he was headlining Glastonbury but if I'm honest... His set was pretty crap I have to say. Just my opinion though. I liked where he was going with it though. I just don't think he pulled it off that well.

What's all the fuss with jay-z? His whole act is uninventive, unoriginal and boring as fuck.

Glastonbury is changing, I have been a few times over the years. Its no longer one stage with music you wouldn't normally expect to hear at a festival of this kind. When you have the likes of Kate Nash, Amy Winehouse, Duffy and The Feeling all being present you know it doesn't have the pull it used to. Its more like a Radio 1 Roadshow.

As for Jay-Z, I don't like rap but he seemed to get the crowd going and didn't waste time thanking Noel Gallagher for all the free publicity. His band are pretty good, they mastered Wonderwall, shame he didn't know the lyrics.

Best performance so far has to be The Cribs (from what I have seen), bang on form.
