How do I put multiple maps on my tomtom?

I have the N95 with tomtom running, I have downloaded the megamaps but when I try and copy the maps I want to the root of the tomtom folder it wants to replace all kinds of files? What should I be putting in there?

i don't know about the n95, but on my tomtom one there is a maps folder and in there you just put the "america_canada" (or whatever) folder in there. There should be a great britain folder already there as well.

Everything seems to be in the one folder called tomtom? I tried putting seperate folders in there but no joy

Your maps should be in separate folders - eg -
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
or
Western_Europe
etc.
Copy these folders onto the root of your memory card - make sure you do not have one folder inside another folder - and do not put them into any other folder. If you already have an older map on there delete it first. You cannot use any V7 or V8 maps with Tomtom V6.
