hi this vista is ending up to be a pain dose any body know how to speed up file tranfers in vista it takes for ever to transfer files from one hard drive to the other was not this slow in xp

That is the main flaw in Vista IMO, AFAIK even SP1 doesn't address that issue I'm afraid mate

this was fixed pre-sp1 but as it's not a prob that affects every pc it's not general realse... not downloadable directly from microsoft, you have to contact support. further details (and a link to a download hosted on a different site) here...
