    Hello,

I'm looking for a surround sound system, that I can hook the media center im about to build [with some help from you guys!] up.

The main use will be for Blue Ray DVDs and normal DVDs.

Budgets is anything up to £500. Can I have your suggestions please.

What sort of sound quality/output level are you expecting?

£500 doesn't buy you a lot these days, to give you an idea of what I'm talking about...just ONE of my subwoofers cost £500 on it's own (they double up as corner tables).

It could be your lucky day though if you live near Farnborough (Hants) and have a small van, talk to me via PM before I post in BST.

I'd consider going for the Onkyo TX-SR606 amplifier with a set of KEF 1005 speakers. This will take you £200 over budget but will be worth it in the long run. The Onkyo supports Dolby True HD and DTS HD so you will get the best out of your Blu Ray discs.

I'm using Paradigm PS1000 subs (2 of them), and a Sony STR-DB790 amp.
