    Nintendo DS More DS bits...

After my amazing repair job on my vandalised nephews NDS Lite, I have been asked to fix another one... FFS!

This one is okay apart from the bottom touchscreen bit doesn't work, the top screen itself doesn't work and the mic is missing.

TBH it looks like a bodged repair job/case replacement.

I know you have to solder the speakers to the top NDSL screen, so that is a potential pitfall for me!

I haven't fully opened up the NDSL yet, will do tonight, but I reckon I can replace the screens for about 25 quid from eBay. But the mic is proving hard to source.

So, does anyone have a broken NDSL or the screens or the mic (+wire) before I hit eBay?

I would preferably want the top screen with the speakers already soldered as my hand isn't as steady as it needs to be!

Bit of advice, don't fix things for people... don't get involved just stay out of it... don't help anyone... meh...

Damn! Typical. Not to worry mate.

This is a different DSL anyway, so I wouldn't have known.

    Ta anyway.

for the cost of the parts you may as well just send it to Nintendo, they will replace completely buggered machines for £45

Really! That's a gold piece of info.

You think they would replace even if had replaced case, cracked screens or water damage etc'?

Might start buying mashed ones on eBay and sending them back!

i bought one that had fallen in the kitchen sink and was completely dead, screens were all buggered up from the water. Worth a try anyway, theres an email addy on the site somewhere, I mailed em and they told me straight away how much it would cost, I think 45 is the max charge.
