I have had a few from dhgate.

It is in China but i had no bother with them, it is a bit like ebay with reputation etc and you can get free shipping on may items.

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from DH Gate, never had a problem as the company do not get the money until you tell them you have received the goods. Got my Bro a Tag replica for $30 plus about $20 shipping, all the sites in the UK i found were asking around £100.

I can really rate them, i have a bad dealing with one guy who did not send the stuff out as descried so i never said that i had received it, they did not get paid and i did not get charged and got to keep the Canada Goose coat that was sent out in the wrong colour.....

It is far cheaper and it would be the same watch that you can buy in the UK for 5x the price.

Here in Switzerland they know their watches. I got exposed wearing a replica Panerai, apparently the crystal was wrong, the lettering too small and the leather strap quite obviously fake... and all I ever got back in the UK were compliments

I was with you on that until i looked into it for my dad

there are some which are literally identical and are of good build and obviously work like the real thing. Plus for a fraction of the price

Basically my dad wanted a new watch and likes the look of the really expensive ones so why not i guess.

Picked up a Rolex Sea-Dweller in Malaysia about 5 years ago now, still going strong, payed about £25 for it from the market after the usual fun negotitions. It's not quite spot on as it's mssing the bubble over the date, but it is stainless and crystal, not just cheap materials, and has the full mechanisom behind it with a sweeping second hand.

Even if you took the fake Rolex badge off of it, you can't buy a watch of that style and quality in this country for that money.

I love the watch as a watch and don't worry that it's a copy, but that said I may have a look into a upgrade now

My advice is do not be tempted by a limited edition, just go for a stock watch, if you do use dhgate compare the pictures as the ones they post are the same as the one you will get.

I got a Steve McQueen Tag Heuer Monaco, and did not compare the pics but it is a very good copy, the only difference is that the chronograph is not technically a chronograph as it just clocks round 24 hours in the day. It does have a working stop watch though......

I think that i may get a new Omega Sea Master but not the chrono version as that is where a lot of them start to look wrong....

When I was in Hong Kong I found that you had to ask for the A1 quality watches which were often kept in a safe. These had genuine Swiss movements e.g. ETA or Valjoux and didn't look or feel cheap at all. The only problem was their starting prices which were usually around 50% of the genuine article. Even with a lot of bartering you're looking at 700 quid for a replica of a 2500 quid Panerai.... but I'm sure it would fool most jewellers.

Just to say that Rolex have Sea Dwellers with no bubble over the date.
