Windows updates, do u get them?

ive got a new laptop last week and i keep getting "new updates available", do u guys ever update ur machines, when i last looked updates were 66mb!

personally i never miss getting the updates on any OS.

You should always download and install os updates asap so you are as secure as possible.

Everyone gets them, its because they keep finding holes is MS Products.

I never turn on automatic updates on a Laptop. I do that manually, as i find i need to shut it down and put it away, it wont close down as its bloody installing updates.

Yeah I do love a cheeky bit of Windows update. I flopped SP3 on my laptop and that delt with most of them.

i downloaded windows XP with SP3 pre installed from Microsoft last night and i still had 15 updates to download after that. so installed all my virus software and apps they way i like and took a image of the HDD save time when i want to reinstall it in a few months nice wee 20 mins instead of 2 hours +
