    Info Decking Treatment ???

    Hi Peeps

Looking a treating my decking this year. It's only three months old but was looking for something that will do a good job, don't mind paying that little bit extra.

The timber is tanalised however would like to stain it a darker colour. I have seen a few reports and am considering using these:

Has anyone used these products or can recommend a product?

I treated my fence last year with a water based Ronseal product, that has already started to wear...it was water based and was like jelly, the name escapes me but don't want a repeat of this.

I remember the good old days, of using used engine oil and white spirits (50%-50%). The old fence I treated some 26 years ago is still standing strong.

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Hi

I have experience of option 5.

It was applied last summera nd by Feb this year it had all more less come off.

Fair play to ronseal though they supplied me with enough product to do it again. However this time they supplied their new product, advanced decking stain.

Not ahd a chance to apply due to the weather but once its done ill report back

I used option 4, 12 months ago. It has stood the test of time, even with 2 little dog's charging all over it!
