    Help Dosflash erase help?

    Hi guys,
    Having a little trouble doing an erase on my Benq using dosflash... following this guide-http://venomousfire.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-flash-benq-xbox-360.html

    I have read the firmware ok... but when I try to erase the firmware I get error "Wrong Flash Status"

    Info...

    Drive = VAD6038 (with grey wires)

    Sata Card = PCI VIA6421a

    Dosflash = 1.4b (using dosflash 16 in Dos)

    Command = dosflash e 6000 1 a0 1 4 d8 0

    Any Ideas????????????????

    What I did (which the guide completely ignores) is instead of telling dosflash specifically what to do, just run dosflash, i.e

    c:\dosflash

    It will then search for the drive and give you a list of options, choose the correct one and voila.

    Have you backed up the orignal firmware?

    Took me ages to do mine... but just using the dosflash command saves on typing that string time and time again!

    I had that exact problem when doing my mates BenQ! Instead of using the erase command you are currently using (dosflash e 6000 1 a0 1 4 d8 0) use this one....

    Code:
    DosFlash e 6000 1 a0 1 4 C7 0
    Note that is says C7 instead of D8. I got this off of xbox-scene via a google search. Worked a charm!
