vista xp networking problems

ok ive got a bit of a wierd one that i cant think how to fix (ive googled it and theres that many vista problems on there i dont know where to start lol)

ive got an xp box, xp mce box, ubuntu box, mbp and a vista box now i share mutliple folders on all the xp box's so i have access to all the different drives/ folders regardless of which system im on TILL i got the vista box up and running lol

i can access shares on the vista box from xp and take the files from it to which xp box im on but when im on the vista box i can access the shares see the files and open them but i cant copy them over to the vista box and i cant save to the xp box from vista or transfer copys of the files from the vista box to the xp box it tells me i dont have permission and i dont know where or what to do to enable or allow permission

any help would be appreciated

in sharing and security, you got "allow network users to change my files" checked?

not certain if that disallows copying when not enabled, but worth a quick bash to rule it out.
