Update question on backups

Figuratively speaking if one were to flash a 360 with iXtreme 1.4 and then one were to put a stealth patched game into their 360, would one be advised to perform an update if the game were to prompt for one? For example with Rock Band?

Is it only complete dash updates that can be potentially ban-worthy?

Yeah just update it no problem and the dash updates aren't any more likely to ban you either they are ok to do as well.

Go for it, I'm sure you can't progress to play unless you did the updates. Done the updates as requested without any bother here.

Updates are fine, and Im 99% sure all future updates will be fine too. The only thing you have to be a bit cautious with is playing backups while connected to LIVE.

Not just when playing against others, but also when playing single player and your machine is connected to LIVE.

Cheers lads. When you say cautious on live mate do you mean cautious of updates whilst on live or is there something else I need to look out for? Live is the main reason I have a 360 you see so I shall be playing on there a lot.

dont worry about it if you get banned go buy another from all the money you will save.
Playing on or off live has not been proven to make a differance.
if you flash it then you take the risk. ive had 3 banned and just got another to replace it. sold the banned ones for £100 with a couple of games so no problems.

just make sure your backups are fuly stealth patched and you will be fine ,no one can guarantee you wont get banned by the ban hamer ,its just horses for course's

When I say cautious, I mean dont use backups while connected to LIVE if possible. The reason others got banned was because they performed remote disc checks and backups return incorrect info which causes you to get banned.

iXtreme 1.4 is meant to return all the correct info, but you can never be 100% sure.

To be 100% safe only use originals on LIVE, and backups when your console is dis-connected.

There is a chip out that claims to unban 360's! Not heard anyone confirm that though.

Hmm doesn't state "unban " as such but does claim to return to a "vulnerable state" maybe that means the same thing??!

Well the site selling it (console-chips which is down atm) stated 'unban' which looked like a copy paste from infectus so maybe they changed the description. It was in BETA at the time so maybe thats why they have altered it. Still is promising though.
