Need a cheap hotel NYC

Hi

going New york on the 3rd dec till the 8th

I need a cheap hotel that is decent (if such a thing exists)

I was even looking at hotels in new jersey city (just wondering about getting into central new york from here though)

Any help appreciated!

do NOT stay in New Jersey lol

there are a lot of hotels to choose - but i need to know your budget

best hotel ive stayed in ever is Essex House (i've also stayed in the Waldorf Astoria & The Plaza - no where near as good as Essex House)

I'd therefore say anything in and around that seems to what I would pay

Well we ended up booking a hostel type place in NYC near central. It looks fine for what we want - the rooms look more hotel than hostel and got ok reviews

Thought it was rude not to as we were struggling for a decent place with a tight budget - this cost us �200 for 2 people for 5 days! more spending money for me then!
