Whats your opinions on colour in tattoo's?

I'm say 30% through my 2 foo dogs tat and i set out with the idea of having them coloured (still unsure on the exact colours) but my misses has made me doubt it now, saying they look tacky?!

I went all black and grey for 8 years then had a huge colour piece on my right thigh. I love it, never thought I would as my skin is very pale.
Post some photo's of what you have had done so far.

I love bright vibrant colours in tattoos. electric blues. emerald greens. oranges, yellows, pinks
I'm doing some waves on my leg just so I can use my nice blue lol

about 50% in now, still no color just outline work!
i'll get some pics up later if i find time..
the original picture i had in mind had blues, purples, greens and orange i may move slightly away from these but still likely to head in way of vibrant color, im a pretty bright chap i wear some random bright colored shit so probably follow my character suit

ive gotta say it m8 i dont think id be having it coloured mainly cos 1, i like the outline style and 2, shaded that would look awesome
