    Help Listening to police?

Its been a while since i owned a scanner but when i did it was very interesting listening to the police until they went digital. Is it possible to buy a scanner capable of listening into the police or buy an addon for decoding the digital signals?

    Thankx.
    Steve...

No, afaik they use Tetra now. The public can't get equipment to decode this.

I once knew a bloke who could pick them up through his set top box. You might want to have a word.......

Definately the men in white coats lol

Unfortunately it's impossible to listen into the police anymore and it's unlikely you'll ever be able to again.

People still use analouge cordless house phones, even more interesting as they are always local so chances are you know who they are.

Hard to tell as you usually never actually know where the house your listening to is lol it also depends on your antenna and location

in ny local area ( gtr manchester ) the old analogue police frequencies have been taken up by the towns security ( camera watchers , floor walkers etc.. ) you can listen in to them

    might be worth a look...
