    Default Web Site/Outlook Question

    Aright all,

Being asked to Design and build a company web site for a family friend for there small business.

Have all the usual info on it.

was wanting to design and also implement some thing that could be very handy for them.

What i want to do is have on the web site "contact us" page with these fields

    First Name
    Surname
    Email
    Contact number
    Address

    Query info/General Info section

    ===

what i was wanting to do is install Outlook 2007 on his PC.
and once he receives a email from the web site have a rule that adds the above fields to his outlook contacts so he can build a list of customers with out too much hassles as he is not fully up to speed with computers.

dose any one know if a way i could do this??? DF dollars /k+ Awaits

I'd approach it differently, on the form which the user submits, as well as emailing the address it also does an insert into an sql table.

All the data is kept in a nice place and you can then manipulate it as you like.

was thinking that too but dose that not mean all the customers details are stored on the web server too?
how would i go about securing it? so only we can get access to it.

Security would be as standard ie the hosting account password or the database password, both of which should be relatively secure, more than secure for it not to be a problem.

A quick look says they dont offer mysql on the basic packages. http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml is a decent enough package for about £2.50 a month.
