Before I Format?

Hi All

I need to format my home PC but I have one programme on there which I need to keep!

I can reload it back on but would need to phone the company for a validation key which changes every time. I only have the license for 1 copy which is on my laptop!

Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Also before I format is there a handy list of what to back-up as I always forget something?
Can you back up settings for internet etc which will make the reloading easier.

Before you re-format, call the company and tell them what you need to do and ask them to either give you the validation key there and then, or ask them if you can phone them when you need it and see if they can give it to you then.

Should be fine. Same thing happens with genuine copies of Windows when people change their mobo, CPU, etc.

Thanks hermaN for the reply. the problem is I have already registered it with the laptop and he will want to charge for a second Licence for home PC.
