    Default Asus a7u aduio issue

    Hey,

I recently got myself an Asus A7U laptop and was getting on with vista. Now it started pissing me off so I decided to run XP instead...I cant however find the audio drivers for it!

If anyone could help me it would be groovy. I think the audio chipset is a realtek HD and it requires Microsoft UAA drivers too...which I`ve installed but not joy: any ideas?

I know this is an old thread Pete.. but did you manage to sort out the issue? I had similar today on wiping Vista and installing XP, also on a new system I bought in Feb I've never managed to get the darn O/B Realtek HD to work until this evening.

I downloaded and extracted the kb888111xpsp2.exe (didn't run it, extracted with winrar first.)

No, to be honest mate I went back to vista and I`ve been happy eve since. The next logical upgrade now is prob to win7.
