No, it will install on a hard drive, usb or cf (obviously no cf on an 800).

If you have hard drive but no usb, it will install to hard drive.

If you have both it will install on usb instead of the hard drive.

erm not sure whats going on then mate.

I've messed with about 10 images now in flash, and used barry allen on all of them with none of the issues your having.

The only problems I've had are when I booted into flash a few nights ago, and did a software update, then rebooted the remote wouldn't work at the barry allen bootup screen, so it would only boot into flash.

And the other problem was when I first got my box, about 2 days later I was flicking channels and the signal and channel list vanished.

When I rebooted all I had left was the flash image as my usb stick died (was only a couple of days old so it went back and I bought a better make).

Just out of interest why are you bothering with all this Barry Allen and USB shite. Just stick the PLi image on it and get familiar with it before you go testing with other things.

Dunno if you are trying to get cable or sat to work but pretty sure the PLi image is easy to configure for both. I use it on my DM600pvr and have no interest in any other image.

I wasn't impressed with the Dm800 PLi image if I am honest.

I find the Nabilosat v0.3 is the most stable and fastest image so far.

I don't think its a clone but its definately faulty.

I read somewhere there were a batch of faulty recievers that had to go back.

Described my issues with the overheating,freezing and not being able to install F all on all the various USB sticks I've tried. He said they've had the fault before and to send them the box and they'll take a look at it.

Received mine yesterday opted for no hdd and used a 1gb usb stick and formated fat32. Took a bit of time setting up with barry allen but all is working ok. Hardest part I found was installing barry allen as I couldnt find it in the plugins menu after ftp-ing over to /tmp dir with flashfxp. So had to install via telnet command and could then see clearly barry allen installing in the telnet console window. It found the usb stick and formated it and then mounted it during installation. After installation and reboot, barry allen was in the menu (blue button). I then used flashfxp and transfered nabilo blackhole image to usb and extracted image using barry allen menu and also set to boot blackhole instead of flash.

Had problems with Itv HD on 28 east. Sorted that out by using latest Likra settings from nabilo and used opoenDBedit to send channel settings.

Today Im setting up the motor settings. Wish me luck as its not straight forward according to members on pimps. Im using a 90cm gregorian dish and have just bought a v-box ii.
