    Question Help pulling a sickie

Ive been offered work at bestival, meaning I get in for free. I need wed, thur, fri, mon and tue off work.
I have no holidays left and get made redundant at the end of september.

whats the best way to get a sicknote (they wont pay me without one, and it looks really suss having 5 days off)

set it up early start complaining today and then go home early on tues cos your not well then your done, a good sickie takes time and planning

EDIT- if theres nothing wrong with you i wouldnt waste the dr's time going for one, just take the hit and dont get paid if you can afford it if not then dont take time off

For less than 7 days, you self cert.

Any more than 7 days, see the doc.

No sick note- no pay at ours. even if its just 2 days. I was thinking about the stress card, pulling that one out the bag.

I got caught pulling a sickie not so long back, bumped into the floor manager at the front gate of a festival as I was selling programmes :

Hmmmm, having a massive guilt trip about this, I might not even bother. I only have 4 weeks left to work though......

    lol willp

I've killed off relatives before now. My granddads have died half a dozen times in my early 20's. My cousin has had some life threatening motorcycle accidents too. I think my mum got diagnosed with cancer at one point.

Quite a few doctors do private sick notes, just for situations where the employer won't pay up in the self-cert period. A mate of mine was a right idle cnut sometimes (Worked hard others), and if he wanted time off he'd get a private one - a tenner I think, the doctor even asked what he wanted to say was wrong iith him
