water damage to a laptop normally need a new motherboard and a keyboard and some times some more but would need to be striped down and tested what kinda laptop is it??

Probably better jumping on ebay for the parts

Try stripping it down and soaking ALL the parts (apart from HDD and screen of course) in PURE (and I mean 100%, or 99% at least) alcohol/ethanol. Let it soak for about a day or so.

Once done leave it in a warmish room for about 24 hours to let the ethanol evaporate, that should have cleaned off any reidual piss that may have dried onto the mobo, keyboard, CPU, etc...

Once that is done have a look for any obvious signs of shorts or other damage. If you turned it off quickly enough the lappy may not be dead for good!

Put it back together and test it, if its a no go then get the data you need off the HDD and sell it for spares. A new mobo will cost more than a whole new laptop!!
