Looking good there Baron...the pinky flower looks spot on....did you read the manual or just dive in?
tbh read the manual for about 10-15 mins
not as complicated as i thought it would be
plus there was a cannon rep in jessops when i bought it so had a good 45 mins with him when making purchase, he was very helpfull
gutted never got a tri-pod tho, they where doing one 1/2 price when you buy a cannon (£50 reduced to £25) migt chance my arm and go back in

Yeah, some nice shots in there. I'm not a fan of flower shots but you've hit a couple of them spot on.
Surprised you've not done more portrait shots of your older lad in the past, he's very photogenic (cute)... (not to say your little un isn't )

So what have you upgraded from? Nice shots, I fancy some of that exposure messing with my 400D, will try at the weekend.

Might be worth splashing out on a better tripod mate. The Manfrotto's are apparently very good and start cheap.
You want to look at around £30-40 for a very decent tripod to hold your DSLR, they are very sturdy too as they are the choice of tripod for the hardcore urbexers.
EDIT: Also forgot to add matey some very nice first shots! Well done.

Got to agree, I bought one of them after recommendations here. Sturdy and does the job for me. Cost me £40 from Ebay I believe, all brand new. Has quick release. I leave the clip part attached to the camera all other times, hardly notice it.

the 1000d got some great write ups, nice shots too, keep em coming
