Fake? DSTT Cards Going About

According to the DSTT website there's fake cards going about. Quite a few people who have ordered from DX have received the said "fake" cards so be wary if you've ordered from there lately.

The cards do actually work but according to the DSTT website, it may cause the cards, Micro SD card or the DS to burn out. It's worth pointing out that the "fake" cards work just the same as the real ones though...so they're probably just trying to stop people buying the clones.

But according to DX they are saying the factory who supplied them the DSTT split into 2, and one of them are producing the cards with the gold dot to distinguish them from the original cards at the other factory.

I just got my DSTT from them today, and drop it off to friend who wanted it. I will check latter if has a gold dot. But it worked ok, not as fast my old R4, then again I did get a cheap MicroSD card with it.

Got it this morning and it's a fake.

I'll give it a test and see how it goes compared to my real TT card.

Updated with the latest firmware and no problems, runs just as fast as my proper card.

I got 2 of these through from DX today, should I be worried or are they simply clones and do everything the same as a genuine TTDS?

They are fine, no problems my end, they update with the official tt firmware.
