im well into it, lovin the fact we will be able to install whole games to the hdd, only problem i have with it is these poxy miis or what ever ms are calling them. Ok on wii not suitable for the 360 imo. Also liking the new party system from the dash

How does the install the hard drive work i wonder... Seems pointless if you need to have the game in the drive anyway...

they have done it for quicker loading times and for games that stream badly, ie gta 4 and mass effect. The reason the disk has to be in the drive is again all to do with ms shitty drm rights

Yeah shame you can't register the game or something like that so that you don't have to keep putting the disk in but guess then you can just buy the games and then take them back so that wouldnt work

I guess for new games tho they might start selling them over xbox live like the arcade section...?

People have already mentuioned in this thread that some games will save a chunk to the hdd if present so titles like gta 4 will have less lag, but you will still need the game in the drive due to drm.

yeah but with a pitiful hdd of just over 10gb, i'm not gonna be doing that much am i?

Isn't there a feature to be able to have private chats with more than one person? ie: a conference call type deal? Now that would be worth something.

It looks pretty sweet just the Mii's dont make any sense. Apparently their E Rated only and obviously a blatant rip off from the Wii but they just don't suit the 360.

Otherwise the dash is great, I especially love the feature that lets you install games onto the hard drive. If the drive isn't spinning at all my 360 will be extremely quiet since my fan doesn't even come close to the noise my damn drive makes.

Now only if Microsoft would let you throw in any hard drive instead of their expensive propietary crap. You could back up over 65 games on a 500GB hard drive compared to 2 on a 20GB hard drive and 15 on a 120GB hard drive(with space left over for saving games etc).
