Default Words that are new to you

In the spirit of Fear's thread, here's a list of words/phrases I never knew existed until very recently:

    Capital Ratio
    Capitalisation
    Bank Failure
    Money Markets
    Credit Crunch
    Short Selling
    Taxpayer's Liability
    Rescue Package
    Bailout
    Sub-Prime
    LIBOR
    Iceland now shops at Iceland

Care to add to the list..................?

Living up Norf I am learning new 'words' and phrases every day. For example -

Crog - This is basically the same as giving someone a backy on your bike
Ginnell - Used to describe an alleyway or small passage in the street
On't turn - A derogatory term used to describe someone (usually a woman) who is half decent, but in a year or 2 will be ugly
    Bun - It's a fucking cake!
Yer sen - Used by council estate tenants. Means 'Yourself'
    Scratter - Everyone up North
If you can smell it, it's in your mouth.

Dont spoil the dream. I've always imagined you sounding like Peter from Heidi.

Actually just thinking about you calling an under takers on behalf of Binki and I'm on the verge of wetting myself.

I haven't heard anybody say 'Bostin' for ages, and in the space of a week I must have heard it said about 100 times. Very odd.
