done a search on this forum for this no match so here goes

does a good speed test direct to virgin server

dont know if it works in all areas, but it works here in uddingston headend area

Virgin have their own page on speed testers - http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/speedtesters/

They recommend http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ they don't even mention the blueyonder one for some reason.

Nope, I just don't download masses between 4pm and 9pm then I don't get throttled at all, simple really.

That is when the cap kicks in...
