liteon flash coming soon?

please can i pick your brains?
i sent my 360 back to ms and it came back with a liteon drive in it!
I thought it was a benq and sent it to someone to flash. He has informed me that it is indeed a liteon and he is waiting for a e device ? to extract the drive key and re flash to another drive. I have heard from someone else that it will be possible in a week or so to flash a liteon normally any opinions guys?
Obviously I am loath to weigh out for a new drive if the technology for flashing a liteon is just around the corner!

I don't think anyone really knows when it will be possible to flash the liteon drive, i hope its soon. But, i read somewhere that its possible to erase and write to it, however, trying to read the firmware is just not possible at the moment. Hopefully it won't be too long.

It is coming however you can just buy a samsung drive and flash that with the liteon key

I sent mine away on Monday to have a Samsung MS28 fitted as my new 360 had a Liteon. It might be worth something to someone when it can finally be flashed.

No progress on the LiteOn for about 2 months now.

Its writable, if the SPI is blank, and we can erase....

No dump means no iXtreme, so, no modded LiteOn any time soon
