Default Connection to back of tv question

    Hi all,

Just thought that I would ask you if you were aware of any connection that you could use that would enable you to get high def connection from xbox 360?

At present I have my pc connected up via the vga on back of plasma
I have wii connected up via the componnent to get better pic
I have ps3 connected up via hdmi
I have xbox 360 connected up via the hi def also going in to back of vga connection.

In order to use pc though or xbox 360 under current set up I have to keep on removing the vga connection to choose between 360 or pc.

Is there a better way to have this set up so I dont have to worry about damaging pins etc i.e. is there something like a switch or something that I can get or a hdmi cable for xbox 360?

    Thanks in advance

to get hdmi from a 360 you will need to sell yours and buy a newer one, arcade packs and elite packs have hdmi. some of the premiums do too but only the newest ones.

yes you can get a component switch box, i had a cheapo manual one which i never had any problems with. I know some people went for a posher one, have a word with czar i seem to remember him buying one.

i have one like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-Way-YPbPr-CO...d=p3286.c0.m14

XCM HDMI Blaster will do for multiple analogue connections or the XCM 1080p HDMI cable for just your 360.

Not tried either but XCM are a good company working for the console market.

I think in your situation, I would relegate the non HD Wii to an RGB scart socket, and connect the 360 to the TV using component.

    thanks everyone for your reply,

options above seem to be pay minimum £40 plus p+p if I want to have it connected via hdmi
pay couple of pound for switch box
get new xbox as this one does not support hdmi if I am right.
Scrap wii from component to rgb scart

I forgot to say that I had the sky plus box on the rgb scart on the back of my pc that would not work for the wii.

How does the £2 pc style switch work when if I understand it right you have to connect a cable from the scart to the xbox with the original xbox 360 cable getting plugged straight into the switch?

    Thanks again guys
