    Default Marsdon Grotto

Bod and I got out for a couple of hours this afternoon and spent most of it trying to find anything picturesque around Sunderland..... Errrr....

Stumbled upon Marsden Grotto near Whitburn which is a pub/restuarant carved into a cliff face, really quite nice. Anyway, we nipped out onto the beach and took these.

All are stunning. Absolutely love the colours in the first two and again, that 10-20 is getting some good use

Tha B/W is also a nice moody shot but I keep on getting drawn back to the first two . Nice lengthy exposure. How long was it open for Neo?

the first 2 are great but i'm a bit reserved about the 3rd one
i see a lot of B&W landscapes and for me they seldome work i prefer the colours in landscapes and the first 2 show that off nicely

I'm loving the colours on the 1st pic, looks gloomy but yet sunny at the same time! Did you get any pics of this pub carved into the cliff? Sounds interesting on its own!

Livesey, sadly no... There was a christening party going on so I didn't feel it was fair to be snapping around them.

I like the first one best. Nice light, good movement, good viewpoint.

Have to say - never seen the Grotto look so good, I really like the first 2 in particular the composition and colours, its great when the photo`s just "pop" like that.
