Guys, sorry been out of the modding scene for a while have modded loads of Hitachi and Samsung drives .. question can all BenQ drives now be flashed or certain models only ???

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Benq's can be flashed. However the new drives) can't be modded. However you can solder them and get the key off them to spoof another drive in its place.

The problem being a Benq disk tray looks exactly the same as a Lite-on. The way you can check is by taking off the faceplate and looking here :

Anything back from MS support since March is a lite-on. Anything manufactured after April (and maybe late March) is a Lite-on drive.

    Hope this helps!

I also sent an old Core back to Microsoft last month, it came back with an Hitachi drive. Not sure if this was originally in the machine as I didn't check beforehand
