I'm having problems with my madasafish 2Mb speed, it rarely gets above 480k during normaltimes.
When not so many users are on (early mornings), it's about 1Mb, and it rose to 3Mb afterI complained. Once or twice it'sdropped out, the tech operator put it down to contention ratio, cos the DSL light was on ( on my BT voyager 210 adsl modem), but the internet light was out.
Recently during a complaint, they said that the BT210 was an old modem, probably the cause of slow speed and the cause of the Internet conn light out, ( dsl light still on), and subsequently cured by router power off/on action.
Is the speed problem between router / exchange or between the multi user pipe from exchange to ISP/WWW.
A speedtest.net brought a response of 780kB just at 2230pm sunday night, 240kB at other evening times. Is there a test to work out where the bottle neck is, ie can I proove that the linkto the exchange is crapus or not? When I talk to the operators, I have nothing to contest what they are saying.
Help
Thanks for just looking, even if not responding
