Looking through on other forums, many, many people have had problems with Hiper power supplies, so personally I'd go for a Corsair, Antec, etc.

And why only 2gb of RAM? You may as well buy 4gb for only an extra fiver or so, i.e. - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146049.

Other than that, looks like a good spec.

id go for a faster dual core CPU, ive read the 3ghz dual core can quite easily be clocked to 4ghz if you are feeling adventurous. you will only need 4gig ram if you are going to use Vista too, I think XP can only aceess 3gig.

The PSU should be fine, I would agree on the Hiper PSU issue, lately they have gone downhill.

trouble is duo core is been moved away from and quads will be the future games like gta4 for the pc will use all 4 quads

the q6600 can be overclocked to 3.6 without watercooling with the artic cooler apparantly

overclockers sell this bundle to garantee 3.3ghz which they charge an extra 50 quid for.... which is a shame as i would buy of them as there 5 minutes down the road but id rather pay ebuyer 50 quid less

That's the same PSU as I use, it powered the following system with no problems :-

    Q6600 @ 3ghz
    Volt modded 512mb Radeon 3850
    4X1gb Ballistix RAM
    2X320gb SATA HDD's
    2XDVD-RW
    Multiple USB devices

You'll be fine with a single card, but not sure on the power requirements for Crossfire.

I'd swap the psu and for the extra £10 or so double up the hd in size. Also not the biggest abit fan

Only 64bit Windows can access all 4Gb on both Vista and XP. It's the 32bit versions which run 3Gb max. I'm running 4Gb on XP 64bit happily.

i have the same power supply and not had any real issues, am powering the same spec q6600 with 4 hard drives and 4 dvd rws no problems. one issue i had was if i turn of the power supply from the back, the next time i turn it on and power the pc straight away it would shut down for a sec and then power up. But not an issue as long as you leave it powered from the rear switch.
