divx to dvd

everytime i try to make a divx into a dvd with convertxtodvd i get about a 2 second lag in the sound so lip sync is a mile off..

any ideas what i am doing wrong here ..??

or is there another program i can try that you know is better..

i use convertxtodvd and have never had any syncing issues, is it possible the source was out of sync or that your dvd player is causing the issue?

we got a few dvd players m8 and its the same on em all..

used pal as the conversion and wrote slowly onto G05 dvds..

even lags when played back on the pc....

Whats spec of your machine?

Tried doing it on any other machines?

i was having the same problem but what i done was upgraded to latest version and it worked no bother

its a 5600 dual core, 4 gig ram, 750 gig hd and a 320mb 8800gts..vista..

even the converted file in the folder is lagging behind on sound

i have another pc but its all the same components only it has 2x640mb 8800gts cards in it but its for games only and dont want to use it for owt else..

i will try a newer version bobo to see what happens..

3.1.3.40 but there is a newer version. this one works for me

if all else fails try winavi its years since i converted any avi's to dvd but that used to do it without missing a beat, added chapters, subs etc and was pretty quick too (40 mins on a single core 1.7 amd with 512mb ram)

i was pulling my hair out yesterday with converting a divx to dvd..kept getting a lag so posted on here and folks stepped up to help me .

now i honestly tried everything you can think of to cure this to no avail..then the penny drops..oh dear...

it was the divx i had that was faulty..i havnt fessed up yet in that thread either..

it was the divx that was faulty and i never even thought of checking that i just blamed everything else..

ah well we live and learn, just sometimes we do it the hard way...lol
