MS28 - are they noisey as hell?

I've just fixed the 360 I got from the £35 deal by tweaking the laser. I've half stuck the 360 back together and tested a couple of games. All working but the thing sounds like a jumbo taking off. Is this normal for a MS28? My benq in my other 360 isn't this noisey.

Also how hard is an ms28 to flash? Is this the drive that needs hardware modding?

if its a "native" ms28 you need a via sata card for bad flashing. (did it a few months ago .. perhaps there is a new way)

My old 360 was an MS28 as is my new one now after replacing the liteon that came with it. I wouldn't say it was that loud at all really but then I haven't heard any other drives before to compare. Flashing an MS28 is easy.

After putting it all back together the drive seems a lot quieter and probably the same as my Benq
