    Xbox 360 Benq DVD

after my second box just fuckin up i just been on ebay lookin at drives and came across one, and in the description the guy says this

In fact Microsoft has contracted BenQ to exclusively produce all the DVD drives used in 360 productions from now on, the last of the Hitachi 79 drives will be used up soon and all consoles coming from the different production plants will be coming with the BenQ VAD6038
i dunno where the fuck he gets his info from that ALL new drives will be Benq, they are liteon as far as i know.

    heres the link

Lite-on now own Benq I think

Edit : The best for me has been Hitachi (more complicated to flash). Benq are meant to be slow for backups and my old Samsung used to grind whilst playing real games. If you've got the kit, wait for a Lite-on. They're very quiet and are meant to for reading games like the Samsung.

Ive heard things about ebay being flooded with doggy benq that have the lite-on board or similar on them, they can not be flashed. These are meant to have come form the far east so i would stay clear of them mate! MS28 from shopneo is the way forward!

MS28 from shopneo using the VIP voucher or buy a new laser mate. I wouldn't fret about which drive to get too much, just load the game onto your HDD. If you need it sorted asap do not get a lite-on as the iXtreme is not released yet.

    The new XBOX Dash m8.

You can load the game on the HDD,But apparently you still need to put the game in for the disc check....

But it does speed up load times alot ive heard.

And the only noise is the fans, not the disc drive screeching.

The guy who wrote the Ebay ad was almost right at one point in time, about 2 years ago !
He probably sells a lot of drives and has never bothered to change his advert....which makes him look a bit of a lying prick now.
