Casio, I haven't done it yet. I was going to pop round my mates and do it yesterday but didn't have time. Today is out of the question and tomorrow I am back in work!
I have done all the prep. work but I don't think i'll be doing the task for a week or so.
Cheers again and Merrry Christmas

it all depends what version of acer aspire one it is, my brother had the 16GB SSD version and it was painfully slow for xp, something to do with the read write speed of the ssd he ended up selling it as it wasnt much good for xp
I myself have the 120GB hdd version and I triple boot xp/vista and os x and it runs a treat.
as for drivers, they are all on the acer site, no need to go elsewhere.
the aspireoneuser forum is very good and if you need any specific help, let me know

After installing windows on numerous occassions, I am now at the point where most things work! The only things that definitely don't work, but wish they would, are the webcam and mic.
I have tried installing both webcam drivers (SUYIN & LiteOn). The SUYIN one installs no problem but there is no camera available or evident. The other one suggests that you should plug in the webcam before continuing installation!!
I've tried almost everything and my patience has finally ebbed. Any ideas guys?
Btw, it's the 150-Ab with a 120 GB hdd.

the drivers are available from www.aspireoneuser.com i got mine from there and they work fine, if you cant get the ones you need when i get home tonight (8ish) i'll post them on here for you
Are the ones at Aspireoneuser essentially the same as those at the official Acer website?
if you go to the software / xp section of that forum, theres a link to a download for an unofficial xp recovery cd which has all the drivers ready loaded. Just install, put in a product key and you're off. Worked a charm for me !

My camera definately works though

Had to reboot into XP as I was in vista (vista sp1 runs wonderfully if you max the memory out by the way)
Anyway, mic confirmed working. i think its part of the realtek HD audio driver (just grab the generic one from realtek themselves if you dont go for the xp cd i mentioned)
My webcam is listed as a SuYin Acer Crystal Eye webcam
