    Retro Amiga A1200

Blew of the dust off this old classic!!

Amiga A1200, keypad looking slightly yellowish LOL, extra floppy drive unit, competition pro joystick still working fine and....

    **Sensible Soccer**

Sometimes you just can't beat a classic no matter what systems we have these days!

    Happy memories with this game!

(edit: the PSU looks alot like the x360 LOL)

Loved my amiga. Think I had a 500 then a 600+ or something.

I remember playing Mortal Kombat with my old man and I think you had to change disks after each fight.

Some of the games were like 11 disks or something??

I remember when I got my 1200, having had a 500 for years. Big decision, did I go for the 20Mb HD or the 40Mb - didn't think I would ever fill a 40Mb drive, crazy!

Still got several 1200's (1 in a tower) with all sorts of add-ons and some 500's, 600's, a CD32, boxes full of disks (along with lots of other old computers). They're all in my loft waiting to be sorted when I have the time (like probably never).

I do have fond memories of the 1200 though and still have a blast on some emulated games now and again.

    I loved SWIV, speedball 2, xenon 2.

Had an a500 for ages, spent an arm and both legs on a trapdoor upgrade and 20MB HDD for it. Eventually got an a1200 and put a 3.5" hdd in there via some adaptors. Very happy days

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Cannon Fodder yet. Best game ever! Ooh, and Syndicate, a grown up version of Cannon Fodder.
I had an A1200. I remember I spent my student loan on a 512MB PCMCIA hard drive (Yep, £350 for a half gig drive!!!) and £150 on a Blizzard 1220/4 accelerator board (4MB RAM and 68020 @ 28MHz processor upgrade.)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, the funky gibbon.

I think we played the hell out of the original Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, with kick off 2 (final whistle) coming in a close second.

Shadow of the Beast, Monkey Island, Final Fight, Hybris\Battle Squadron, Silkworm\SWIV and Turrincan 1 & 2 all deserve a mention.

I had a 500 with the 1/2 meg expansion that bulged out of the bottom. Fav games were Kick Off 2 (R. Shaw up front every time), Cannon Fodder, Walker, F/A 18 Interceptor

I had an Amiga 500 with 20MB HDD, 2mb fast ram and an Action Replay MK III. Also had more floppy disc boxes full of games and demos (Red Sector, Budbrain anyone?) than God.

    Rick Dangerous! Theres another classic.

Had a 500 with the 1mb upgrade, went onto the CD32 next. That would have been awesome if Sony didn't grab Namco from under the their noses!! Ridge Racer was set for a CD32 release prior to that!

    $ony killed Amiga!

Really? Blimey, I didn't know that. Ridge Racer was the reason I got the original Playstation.
Be honest though, the Playstation was a much better machine. Would the CD32 have played it as well as the PSX?
