Liteon / CK3 pro and Probe flashing problems

ive got the kit, software and trying to follow the tut in the sticky.

the problem i seem to have hit is the green light is always on after you press eject to open the drive and only goes off when you press eject to close it again, which, accorinding to the tut isnt going to work when reading the key from the drive. everything upto that point seems to be correct in jungleflasher (com and sata port details) so I cant really see what to do now. I have tried this with 2 different liteon drives, both with the exact same results : 000000000000 for the key data.

Any ideas? Could be be a faulty CK3? I tried using the CK3 to spoof the drive key to a sammy before the probe,xtreme 1.5 and jungleflasher was released but never had any luck with it then either and just gave up when i heard 1.5 was on the way.

You sure you dont have the CK3 in mode b?

Also have you pushed the drive half way closed before you try and read the key?

the guide says to have the led on blue on the CK3, which i presume isnt mode b, when mine turns on i have blue on ck3, blue on the top of the probe and green at the bottom before i do anything

yeah tried pushing the drawer in as the guide says, thought the green llight would maybe go off when its in the right place, but it didnt.

The green light only came on with me when the probe was on the board.

Youre sure you have the probe connected correctly with the end with the probe connected to the drive and the other end to the CK3?

You get a bright green light when the drive is in the right place, I get a dim green light when the drive is out of position, 9 times out of 10 it's good to go when I eject the drive and as soon as it starts moving out power down the ck3

i couldnt get it to work for me either using the guide... however at the top of the page in the wording of the guide there is a link to a noob guide which i followed, and it worked first time, i got stuck when i ersased te drive in windows and got help here
and got it flashed in dos.

try the noob guide to get the key and save it to the CFW, then use the dos method for erasing and flashing

I can also confirm I couldnt even get jungle flasher to run at first, or PortIo32 to install. (Vista 32 bit).

Followed Noob guide and deleted all VIA drivers, then started from scratch with PortIO32.

Jungleflasher takes about 1 minute to load but then works and flashes flawlessly.
