32 Bit is in and running,It found every bit of hardware first time and even tells you to go buy antivirus LOL.
AVG free runs on it so that will do for now.Screensaver works fine and it seems pretty quick,Now all i need to do is find all the rest of my network and im away.Its better looking than vista and is more like XP,its how Vista should have looked.

Formated laptop drive for this and then got error "Windows could not collect information for [OSImage] since the specified image file [install.wim] does not exist." (tried few different copys )
when trying to install so have done fresh install of vista and then upgrade .

1. Is this build different to the one that was leaked on xmas?

2. Why are people asking for keys / posting them? If you click the link on the first page, all it involves from there is around 5 mouse clicks (and entering your hotmail details).

Had same probs with links on here.
Used their download manager with IE and had it down and working no probs.
Did you use an external CD/DVD drive or pen drive to install?
Wouldn't mind trying a full install on this Aspire one as it looks to be a great OS, but no external drive here.

Build 7000 - presumed it the same. Googled and I'm sure it is.

the build 7000 on the news group is not the same iso as the official beta release. they have different md5sums and the ng one would error on install for me. the official one installed perfectly.

I used a pc dvdrom drive to install via a usb to ide converter

i havent got a psu for mine, i just leave the side off the main pc and borrow a power cable It's only for during install after all

I got my version off of torrents and it works fine, its exactly the same iso name as the official release. Got a key from the microsoft site. All works fine.

I can't get it installed,it goes through all the motions and reboots to setting up registry screen

Then I get a window appear

Windows could not finish configuring the system.To attempt to resume configuration,restart the computer.

I hit the OK button and it reboots but the same thing happens again.

I've tried several installs now on a freshly formated PC.

Mmm the 32bit one a grabbed from MS was only 812Mb and didn't work think I'll try another.
