Anyone having Printer problems.USB Printer is fine but for some reason it refuses to even believe there is a Laser Printer connected to LPT1.Everything else is fine so far.


Scratch that one LOL.

All you need to do is select windows update from add devices, and it goes away and gets the older printer drivers and Bingo.

MD5's dont match so im doubting its the original, not saying its bad or out but its got a lot of added stuff in the iso well certainly 600Mb's worth of stuff that shouldnt be there, it might be good useful stuff but I'd rather put my own shit on there so stuck with the official download.All official downloads are safe until August 2009 I think that any that bypass the activation will get there 30 day notice and I just cant be arsed.
However anyone wanting to go NG route I can confirm that there is a windvdbeta release that is a repack of the build 7000 original I checked and the MD5 hashmatches MS Original:

I can't get it installed,it goes through all the motions and reboots to setting up registry screen

Then I get a window appear

Windows could not finish configuring the system.To attempt to resume configuration,restart the computer.

I hit the OK button and it reboots but the same thing happens again.

I've tried several installs now on a freshly formated PC.

I had the same thing last night with the one from ng, going to try the official download one later see if that works.

If anyone finds a solution to this please shout.

Try installing it on a different HDD

If that doesnt work physically unplug all of your drives except the CDROM and HDD your going to use and try that

it doesnt make a jot of difference where your particular installation came from. be it official MS servers, NGs, bit torrent.. the serials everyone is using are identical, so it makes no odds.

MS realised they underestimated the demand and simply let everyone have it with the same serials.. dunno where the hell you are all getting this 30 day notice bullshit.

christ if we all waited for MS to get the finger out and give us all official copies, we'd still be sitting twiddling our thumbs.

Humour me here
but.When i have been adding hardware it always goes to MS updates for drivers by default,and when i installed it everything was found and it started.
Now what im thinking is,as i used a desktop with ethernet plugged in,it may have connected during install for drivers,and a laptop with a wifi connection cant do that till it is given a password,maybe all you need to do is use the ethernet conection of the laptop during install.

just a thought as it instaled every bit of Hardware on the desktop,first time.Which is not really windows usual trick.

Thanks for the links, installed on 2nd hdd on my laptop. Pain free and quick installation, everything looks it is working, although it says there is an unknown device, but I dont know what it is due to all the major stuff working.

Seems quick and responsive. New IE looks pretty good and also quick. Will try installing some programs and games now.

Who the fuck mentioned anything about a fuckin serial FFS a Message-Digest-algorithm 5 is a cryptographic hash function use to check the integrity of a fle, whilst this algorithm is easily spoofed there is no reason for a newzbin member to be spoofing a fuckin beta version of windows!! So when you say there is not a jot of difference where you get your installation from you are completely wrong, official microsoft keys wont work with an unofficial iso unless you use an activation crack 1st i've tried it so I know. The file size is way bigger so how can you say its not different its got 600MB of extra fuckin data in it!

a serial is the only activation token we have, so where the install came from shouldnt make a difference. so when your talking about an official download or "bypassing activation" thats the only thing that changes.

dunno where you are getting that? the decoded iso is about 3.2 gig same as the 64bit microsoft download link you just posted. it even says it on the fucking newzbin page i linked to!!

The fact is that the 32 bit unofficial one didnt work on my system and the 32 bit officially downloaded one did so proving that they are different in some way (malicious or not I don't know). Why on earth would anyone risk a unofficially released one from an untrusted source over a freely available official one ? Download from microsoft.com or piratesandkeyloggers_r_us.com ? You take your choice. I'm not saying the release is BAD im asking why take the risk when you dont need to ?

i didnt download or provide links to a 32 bit version, nor an iso any different to the official download version.

just because some idiot compares the 32 bit md5 with the 64 bit md5 and finds 600 megs worth of extra data which comes with every 64bit iso, doesnt mean the iso is any less legit.
