ok couple of things so far..

if anyone wants to run chrome in this, add "--in-process-plugins" to the end of the shortcut path.

and has anyone had any problems wiuth the screensaver? none of my screensavers seem to start no matter what settings are on...

?

Using Firefox and an addon called Check4Change (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3028)

I opened multiple tabs in firefox (6) , each with this as the page ...

You will keep getting an error ....



Hightlighting the "Error" text on each of the tabbed pages and setting each one to refresh at 10secs in Check4Change.

Then just waited.

The page with the key on will appear eventually

The 64bit key appeared within 10 mins , but the 32bit key is taking ages to appear.

I have heard that the 64bit key will work with 32bit installation and 32bit key will work with 64bit installation.

I am trying this, but when I paste the link above, I just get instantly forwarded to:

So it is not working for me.

Any spare keys, please let me know.

You have to sign into your Windows Live account first otherwise you get forwarded to that page.

Goto http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx and sign in (top right) using your Windows Live ID

Then goto https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/scripts/gcs.aspx?Product=tn-win7-32-ww&LCID=1033 for 32-bit or https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/scripts/gcs.aspx?Product=tn-win7-64-ww&LCID=1033 for 64-bit

It gave me a key straight away doing it that way...however I have 2 spare if anyone else is having trouble or has no Windows Live account. PM me...

Ive managed to get a key using Tzones method above, i've yet to be able to download it though. I've downloaded it three times now, first time i got a 1.2gb iso, then a 1gb iso and just tried again and only got 200mb down That's using the direct link on the previous page. Any ideas?

Ok, downloading the iso...will take 5 hrs! Thats a crappy 2meg connection for you. Also got the product key...groovy.

ive ended up with 3 keys too, after various attempts to try and d/l it from various places. I'll offer the spare 2 up as soon as I've got one working successfully

I'm having terrible trouble with the installation, it gets so far with the 'unpacking files' bit then complains that there are problems and files may be missing/corrupt. I've reburned on a new dvdr but still the same so im d/l the iso again.

Along the way it knackered my bootloader so i had to fix it with the vista dvd, and as a result my osx partition wont boot.

I got all the Keys no probs, but it wouldn't download on FireFox,So bit the bullet and used IE.Its coming down now.Going to Play with the 64 Bit Version.

With no key you get 30 days , with a key you get it untill 1st August for public beta.

The Windows 7 Beta will stop working on August 1, 2009 even with a key.

I'm not too sure how this actually affects mine. I have 'Status Not Available' on my activation sheet. I dont think it's accessing the web so's it doesnt know what date it actually is.

It says nothing with CD Key or Activation, it's just working ATM. It probably will expire about August, but TBH, if I can use it til then, I'm real happy!!

Also it does still run out in august but the full version should be out around that time and at least a rc build. (Microsoft normally time it so another build is out when the last one runs out)

I Tried the aurora Screen saver there for 1 min and it worked fine for me dose it do a full screen preview ok?

yeah fullscreen preview works fine... set it to start after a minute, 20 mins later, still sitting on the desktop.. :/

same version as everyone else i think..
