Default £100m: City in record bid for Milan's Kaka

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/f...a-1334461.html

Looks a bit more official this time considering the source the information was taken from but if they really do pay 100 million for him their a bunch of idiots.

For one the price of oil has plummeted the idiot Sheikh is probably worth as much as a broken condom though Arab sheikhs are not exactly known for their intelligence.

Another issue is they bought over Robinho and considering hes playing with a shit squad and a crap manager he hasn't done much. Kaka is a good player but he isn't a replacement for a good team.

Manchester City will end up becoming another Chelsea with more money than sense. A rich squad can never beat a good team the Premier League is being screwed up by these morons with too much money and no appreciation for the game.

That is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for one player.

All of there spending so far has not done much good for them. You can buy good players, but you can't buy a good team.

I've just read on BBC sport website that they're willing to pay him £500,000 a week!

Kaka clearly doesn't need the cash, he'd have to be insane to leave Milan for City. I hope he sees sense and tells them to go get fucked.

i really think it's about there was a wage cap put in place - i heard on the radio it was £250K a week - which is just stupid.

i really would laugh my head off if they got relegated this year. I've got nothing against City, it would just be funny to see "the richest club in the world" fail miserably

Eh? All what spending Brock? They've only bought 2 players, and one of those hasn't played yet! Ok, they did pay a lot for Robinho but if they can manage to put a good team around him then they should shape up sooner or later.

IMO they do need to pay stupid amounts for top players, because at the moment, money is the only thing that will get them to go to the club. Yes, the club has massive aspirations and could easily be one of the top 4-5 clubs in the country in a few years time, but currently players like Kaka aren't going to leave Milan to go to a relegation threatened club unless its for obscene amounts of cash!

What about the spending under Mr Thai PM? That wasn't exactly small potatoes.

Because he wanted the chance to at least win the league ........ sorry, couldn't resist

If they spend £100million on Kaka they have more money than sense. If Kaka takes the money then I will say here and now we will not see the same Kaka playing for City as we have done for Milan. Kaka can turn a game on its head, no doubt (I should know, I saw him do it twice in a CL semi final the other year), but where would his incentive be in a team of no-marks with no chance of winning anything? City are just proving how stupid they are by going after Kaka now, I can't believe Hughes has sanctioned this transfer.

I'm not too sure why so many people are gettin on our back about this. Yes I agree spending £100 million on a football player is completly absurd, but that is the nature of the business.
If we were to sign Kaka or any other proven world class player then surely that is only good for the premiership? We all bang on about how we are sick of the top 4 being the same, and sick of United or Chelsea dominating. Now we have a chance to see what another team can do.
I'm looking forward to see who we will buy and where it will take us. If we end up being relegated then so be it, we have faced worse and still turned up to support our team.
The one thing that clubs cannot buy is loyalty, and Manchester City has got bags and bags of that, unlike a certain team from Trafford who after being bought out and not winning a trophy for a season, decided to throw their dummy out and create their own team. How is that team doing now?

Anyway, Bring on the world class players, bring on the over priced players.

It's not my money but I'm going to enjoy watching us spend it

I can honestly say I've not yet got bored of United's dominance since 1993 - 15 years and 10 titles, would be very happy if we got another 10 in the next 15 seasons

Football and Manchester City are in danger of becoming a joke if this happens, If i was a City fan id be loving it but when you spend that kind of money on a player you expect not only results but trophies and i think they are a long long way from that....................... Bring it on i say, the more cash hungry Brazilian forwards they get the less hard working defenders will want to join them and clean up their mess when they dont track back just like Makeleli at Madrid when Becks joined................. When they dont win anything for a few seasons and the owners are just ploughing more and more cash in to a never ending pit without any glory to speak of they will soon get bored and divert their attentions elsewhere.............. Look at Abromovich and they have been pretty successful

I honestly think that Kaka will not be a great player is the premiership. Italian football suits his style, thats the reason why he has not moved before.

Kaka will surely move for that kind of money but this is setting a very dangerous president for the rest of our league. Lower league clubs must be disgusted at this as many would gladly take 500 thousand to save their club nevermind pay one player for a single week. Someone needs to step in quick and stop this nonsense.
