Xbox 360 Hitachi 47JD Flash Problem

For some god unknown reason I could not get the fracker to flash. I done quite a few boxes before, even liteon's and would like to think I'm quite up to speed doing them.

Strange thing, when I booted the flashed drive without the DVD > Sata > Motherboard connection the box booted, plugged the black Sata plug back in and it failed to recognise the drive!

Eventually managed to get the original FW back on (even that seemed incredibly painful) and the drive then resumed to work again!

Used the C4EVA hitachi self patching pack, which is usually a 2-3 min job max.

Any one had something similar with this model - 47JD??

(yes was in modeB and even used the xecutor kit after that, still nada)

    Cheers!

If it is now back to original and working then try this, I assume this isn't what tyou were doing already as you used C4EVAS patching pack.

Connect CK3 kit to hitachi and enable mode b, turn off the CK3 kit and on again so the drive goes straight to mode b. Check by pressing eject, sometimes it will eject with one button press but normally it takes 2 presses to close and 2 to open again etc. Once you know it is in mode b open FWtoolbox 4.8, click file, detect hardware.

Once the drive is detected click Tools, Direct drive dump, Classic dump. f this does not work try RAW dump but classic is best. Then it will ask if you want to open it, say yes. Then click tools, smart hack patcher and it will automatically select iX14 for your drive, make sure it is the 12x version. Choose the output file and save, then click yes to open it.

Now click tools, direct drive flash, differential flash (PATCH). Put a disc in the drive then click detect differences button, it should list some numbers. Once that's done click Flash with internal flasher selected and it should flash the drive.

Never had a problem doing it that way mate
