Im not sure but i shouldn't think the error would affect your mouse and keyboard. Seems like a network driver problem and is not picking up your network. try a static ip.

have you updated drivers through windows update i had problems until i did this.

I'd try and set a static IP address and maybe disable the DHCP service if there is one on Windows 7.

Basically your network card is trying to get an ip address from your dhcp server which most likely is your router, but it isn't having any luck.

    Key part of message highlighted.
    Spoiler:
Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x0014C2CAA2F9. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

However, I notice that is for ipv6, and we only really need ipv4.

Sorry not really too sure about solution except maybe see if you can disable ipv6?

I'd say disable the Microsoft-Windows-DHCPv6-Client service.

Im with ant on this one, think you have more than one issue going on here.. network issues should not effect keyboard/mouse.

by the time you get this sorted though, there could be another build of win7.. what build are you using <7000, 7000 or the 7025 build?..don't mean to sound like a twat but it's beta for a reason..

..my best advice, if you want bells and whistles, use vista, if you want speed, use xp. at least they're 'completed' os'es

    As above, disable IPV6
