Gonna go for the DIY jobby, might check if it's registered first though and give them the job
the last 5 or 6 consoles I sent back had no warranty sticker on so that aint a problem as long as it's clean (unless you get a right jobsworth you should be ok)

Just had my xbox repaired with no warranty sticker (not the one I bought in this thread). They were nice enough to put a new one on for me. Shame the fuckers didn't fix it first time round.

Well Citylink have just turned up and what a nice chap this seller is, he sent me the HDMI version instead for the £31. Included cables and Arcade games disc (sealed)

Warranty sticker is torn and a couple of marks so it's been opened.

Try and register it with the serial number here https://service.xbox.com/servicehome.aspx?mkt=en-gb

Mine has turned up today as well, minus the cables - rung MS to get them to transfer the registration over to me but they won't do it, just say they will put me as the second owner meaning any repairs I would have to pay for.

Well it is now registered to me It is also quite happily sitting next to my TV running Gears at the mo. Had PGR3 on and done a few races, quit to NXE dashboard and so far it seems fine. Just letting it run for an hour or three to warm ip and see what it's playing at!

They want me to travel 10 miles to get it too the cunts, what's the fucking point having it delivered if they want me to travel 10 miles to get it.

bugger i missed a citylink delivery today will have to be friday now as im away all day tomorrow. Depot is about 30 miles away so collection aint feasable

Citylink piss me off too mate, 17 miles to my nearest depot and you can guarantee if i'm on late shift they will try to deliver when i'm at work and vice versa when i'm on earlies, tossers lol

In fact i can't ever remember taking a delivery from citylink tbh, i always end up having to go pick it up.

Got both of mine, repaired both of them in half an hour and then 10 minutes to flash them and they are running sweet

yer ive been having trouble with them transfering regs, seems they have got more strict about it

Mine arrived today and it looks brand new after connecting it up, dvd drive wouldn't open, managed to sort that, and now i'm getting e65 error.

Me goes googling

Weird e65 error gone now, drive opens ok, but just sits there reading any games i put in, without ever running them.

You could try the alcohol cleaning method on the laser see if that helps.......
