Default Booked my A2 test for Friday!

After having ridden my 125cc since last July (Sunday rider), ive gone and booked the A2 test for this Friday

went on a 3hr lesson with instructor on Saturday and he says i am ready.

i am now a nervous wreck!

been learning the show and tell questions near enough word for word, so i think its a case of seeing what happens on the day.

    any advice?

2 questions at the start of the test asking about maintenance of the bike

then i think 1 or 2 questions about carrying a pillion at the end of the test

all set questions with answers: http://www.motorcycle.co.uk/getdoc/5...questions.aspx

All you got to do is take your time. Look everywhere and don't forget your lifesavers, do these and you will be halfway there.

I failed my first test on the U-turn. Looked where I wanted to go, big red post office van down the bottom of the road so I focused on that and got around. At the last second though I simply looked down to see if I was going to hit the kerb, I was not far away from it and touched the front brake. The road was wet and I slid into the kerb, nothing spectacular, I just slid into and turned away from it and stopped but for touching the kerb he failed me. If I hadn't have looked down or even touched that bloody brake I would have passed and it cost me another few hundred quid for a few more lessons afterwards.

Second time around we again done the U-turn first and I luckily got it right. I was so relaxed after that I just rode around. Done as I was told and passed, partly because I think I was relaxed after getting the hard part out the way.

You should be ok if you have been riding around for a while you will be more than used to the road conditions than say people who have only done a 3 or 5 days course so you will be alright.

    Good luck.

Oh one thing i forgot to mention was that when i did my test i was told i was lucky not to fail on my emergency stop.
Basically he made me ride around the block while he stayed in one place and he told me that when i get close to him he would raise his hand and i should perform an emergency stop. The first time round i was anticipating him raising his hand and reduced my speed before i got to him so he sent me off to do another lap. Apparently i was very lucky because a lot of examiners would fail people on that saying that you wouldnt usually ride at that reduced speed (about 20 in a 30 limit).
On the way back to the test centre we got caught in traffic which would of taken about half an hour to get thru, my examiner asked me if i was confident enough to filter past the traffic so i said that i was and that i would follow him if that was ok, was quite funny filtering past a couple of miles of stationary cars on my bike test. The examiner was chatting to me on the intercom saying that he knew full well i'd be doing this as soon as i pass my test anyway so he might as well show me how to do it safeley.
