I currently have a subscription to Newshosting. It costs $14.95 for Unlimited Transfers, 12 connections and 177 days retention. Does anyone know of any better deals?

The biggest problem I have is in finding good NZB's. I regularly use merlins portal but that only lists what the members of the forum post and I was wondering if anyone knows of any free or cheap sites that would allow me to search all of the newsgroups for NZB's.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've just changed over from newshosting to astraweb on this deal which is cheaper, more retention and more connections. Uses SSL as well which is another bonus I find this gives a faster service overall too

As for NZB's, I use newzbin but that again relies on posts by users, although it does have a raw usenet search in it as well. I find the RSS feature great when used with SABNZBD

I'm on that deal too. Can't fault it.

I use newsleech.com for nzb's.

I can sign up on the Astraweb offer and subscribe to NewsLeecher for a total of $13.99pm which is still $1 cheaper then my Newshosting subscription.

I have heard that Newsleecher is the best news reader, so I will give it a try.

I let you know how this works out but I need to wait a month as my payment for Newshosting has only just come out.

cant beat sabnzb as a client and I too use newzbin which has been hands down the best for a long time, however they have had a few legal proceedings pending just recently and the service has dropped considerably IMHO. There are a lot of things that dont show up through newzbin via the standard newzbin interface that do show up on other sites i.e. newzleech bintube etc etc You can still find most stuff via the raw usenet search which is OK for me as thats what I use anyway but I suspect a lot of less tech savvy users liked the simple newzbin interface. Remember when we all had to use forte Agent and sift through the lits of usenet post ourselves eh......them were the days

Ditto here, never need to go anywhere else other than NZBmatrix for NZB's. Cant remember the last time I had a bad DL. For more obscure things I still turn to BT.

i use Ngroups, unlimited downloads and ssl and paypal payments, also different deals to choose from each time you sub, 1 month 3months ect....


nice and cheap too, never had a prob with them, and as for nzb sites, matrix is where i mainly go.

dont think you will beat astraweb m8, been with them about 7 years, retention is always getting updated, never had a problem accessing my account and if they start to do a better price deal you can easily upgrade and they will refund the difference

also newsleecher is without a doubt the best newsreader and if you can pay a little more and get the supersearch too its well worth it no more searching for .nzb files

I don't use Grabit, but what's the maximum number of connections you've got set?
If it's only something like 2, try changing it to 20.
